Abstract

The university plays a preponderant role in the training of professionals with a high capacity for innovation who are capable of having an impact on society. In order to carry out this mission effectively, it has to establish strategic alliances with the company, the government and society. This paper deepens the conceptualization of this relationship and the models described in the literature, emphasizing the particularities of the Sábato Triangle, the Innovation Systems and the Triple Helix Model which, according to the literature consulted, are the most recognized, studied and applied. To carry it out, it was necessary to review the extensive scientific bibliography associated with the subject to identify the one that would contribute to fulfilling its objective and that, in addition, would be pertinent, updated and from sources recognized for their expertise in the subject. As a result, the relationship models that have been most applied in practical experience with their relevant characteristics are presented.
