Abstract
When reviewing concepts and definitions of words such as universal man, genius and engineer, we can point out that Leonardo da Vinci was a prodigious, privileged mind, an intelligent and ingenious person with a high degree of commitment, passion and vocation to work. He was ahead of his time by several centuries. Considered the founder of High Renaissance. In 1502, at the request of Prince Caesar Borgia, Duke of Valentino and son of Pope Alexander VI, he was offered the position of "captain condottiere and chief engineer"
Areas of development: Fine arts (painter, sculptor, musician, writer), medicine (specialist in anatomy and graphic representation of the human figure), scientist (physicist, mathematician, engineer).
