Abstract
Sociologist (2001) and PhD in International Relations from the Autonomous University of Madrid (2015), with a diploma in Advanced Studies in Political Theory, Administration Theory and Public Management (2007). Diploma in Law and Political Science from the Center for Political and Constitutional Studies of the Ministry of the Presidency of Spain (2006). She has also been a visiting researcher at the Universities of Copenhagen, Carleton and National of Colombia.
She has been an associate researcher at the Complutense Institute of International Studies and a professor of Sociology of International Development at the same university. In addition, she is a special advisor to the High Representative of the European Union for relations with Latin America (ad honorem); Non Resident Senior Fellow of the Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center of the Atlantic Council (ad honorem) and academic coordinator of Gate Center.
