On this occasion we want to share with our readers the importance of the efficient and sustainable use of water and the consequent conservation of the water resources of our country and the world. The proper use and conservation of water resources consists of using them for different productive, health and social well-being activities, without causing a degradation of the natural dynamics that allow their conservation, replacement and availability in quantity and quality; that is, without causing degradation of the hydrographic basins. Adequate management of water resources ensures a sustainable future for all; it is a relationship of commitment between water demands and the protection and conservation of surface and groundwater so that they reach and remain in good condition and thus maintain the balance between the consumption of fresh water and its natural renewal. As citizens we can take the following general measures: be responsible and aware of the good use of water, support efficient agriculture, collect rainwater, reuse water, monitor water consumption and pay a fair price for it, promote and support public policies for good management of water resources, promote private and social initiatives for the conservation of water resources, participate in educational tools for the promotion and good use of natural resources, support the conduct of research, clean technologies, good practices and methodologies that promote the good use of water resources. All of this allows for adequate planning and management of water resources for everyone's future.
